Arthritis Support
Third Tuesday of the month on alternating month from 11 a.m. – noon at The Westerly Hospital's Henry J. Nardone Conference Center. The next session will be held in March. This support group is run by Andrea Chesky, Occupational Therapy Assistant at The Westerly Hospital. To register for a session, call 401-348-3346 or 1-800-933-5960, ext. 3346.
Bereavement Support
A six-week Bereavement Support program starting The group will run every Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning September 17, 2010 and ending October 22, 2010, in the Hospital's Henry J. Nardone Conference Center. This program will be led by Joyce Elias, M.A., Grief Counselor, of Home & Hospice Care of RI. Each session of this program is intended to provide participants with skills and strategies to cope with the loss of a loved one. The group is free but pre-registration is required. Breast Feeding Support
Every Saturday morning, 10 – 11:30 a.m. at The Westerly Hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center. The program is run by the staff of The Westerly Hospital’s The Women’s Health Center.
Cancer Support Group
Fourth Wednesday of the month, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in The Westerly Hospital's Henry J. Nardone Conference Center. The group will be facilitated by Angela DeLorenzo, Oncology Nurse at Dr. Legare and Dr Knisley’s office and Kim Kralicky, Licensed Clinical Social Worker for The Westerly Hospital.
Post Polio Syndrome Support Group
Third Saturday of the month, 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Westerly Hospital's Henry J. Nardone Conference Center. The group will be faciliated by a community member is also a polio survivor. The group is intended to provide resources, information, and support for those who have been stricken with polio and are now experiencing symptoms associated with post-poliomyelitis.
Scoliosis Support
Last Thursday of the month, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m, The Westerly Hospital's Henry J. Nardone Conference Center. The next program will run in September, 2010. This program is run by a community member.
"The Sensational Child" Support
For families of children with special needs. This program is run by a member of the community. Second Thursday of the month, 6-8 p.m., The Westerly Hospital's Henry J. Nardone Conference Center. This program is run by a member of the community.
